main content Biggin Hill Library is moving

From 5 January 2009 the library in Biggin Hill will move to 188 Main Road where it will operate throughout 2009. This will allow construction of the new combined library and swimming pool on the present Church Road site, which is scheduled to open early in 2010.

The temporary premises are in a convenient location near the shops with plenty of parking nearby. The library will open additionally on Wednesdays from 9.30am - 6pm offering an extended 6 day service and there will also be more PC terminals available for increased internet access.

Regular meetings for book related groups will continue in the Main Road library (days and times are unchanged), and so will surgeries held by local ward councillors and MP. Baby Bounce and Stay ‘n Play Sessions that have already been relocated to the Family and Children Centre in Sunningvale Avenue will continue unchanged.

The existing Church Road premises will close at 5pm on 20 December to allow stock to be transferred during the holiday period. To cover this extended closure, customers can borrow more items and loan periods will also be adjusted.
