Volunteer Centre

Voluntary Organisations in the Borough always need volunteers and the Community Links Volunteer Bureau will match your skills with the organisations that need them.

Volunteering can take many forms:

  • Administration, fundraising, marketing or being a committee member
  • Shopping, driving, gardening, or DIY for sick, elderly or disabled people
  • Working with people or organisations that support vulnerable people
  • Supporting people in education, numeracy and literacy

For current vacancies, visit www.do-it.org.uk or use the Community Links Volunteering Opportunities form.

Voluntary work requires time and commitment, but it can bring many rewards, such as new friends, satisfaction, confidence, and work experience.
