Details
KAB has four rehabilitation workers who are able to give advice and information on all matters relating to visual impairment.
A home visit will always be offered to assess your needs. Having discussed your problems with you, KAB will endeavour to help you to overcome them.
This may be by talking about services available to help you either in your home or in a group setting, mobility (getting around safely), accommodation and training opportunities.
KAB run a resource morning from 10am until 12.00 on a Wednesday morning. This takes place at Bromley Town Church, Ethelbert Road Bromley and offers advice on and demonstration of equipment.
KAB also runs social clubs and arranges leisure activities in different parts of the Borough. This allows people who are visually impaired to meet each other and talk to them about how to cope.
Costs
There are no costs involved in assessing your needs or for services provided directly by KAB. However you may be required to contribute towards the cost of other, additional services arranged for you and for any special equipment that you may need.
