Networking is a powerful way for businesses both large and small to promote products and services, make new connections with customers and business partners, discuss new ideas with peers and to gain informal support. There is a wealth of networking opportunities available for businesses based in the London Borough of Bromley. Some are provided by regular events organised by local networking groups, whilst others are occasional events – often focussing on particular subjects or sectors.

 

Boost Your Business event

Boost Your Business: Making the most of new opportunities.  On Thursday 18th March Bromley Council is teaming up with Business Link in London to help your business make the most of new opportunities in 2010.

Other business events

Surviving the Downturn, on 11th March. The London Development Agency (LDA), KPMG and Lloyds TSB are hosting a series of three free business strategy seminars for small and medium sized businesses called 'Surviving the Downturn'.

1230 AOB? On 16th March 2010, 1230 The Women's Company presents an essential networking event for all female entrepreneurs. Bringing together over 150 business women to share experiences and top business tips.

Employment Law Breakfast Seminar - Thursday 25th May. Judge & Priestley Solicitors are hosting a free breakfast seminar demonstrating how to structure employment policies so that they are inline with current and future legislation.

Local networking groups


South East London Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber encompasses businesses based in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham and organises regular breakfast, lunchtime and evening networking events in all these boroughs. Also publishes monthly “Masthead” magazine containing business news for the South East London area.

Bromley Business Club 
The Club arranges monthly networking evenings at Bromley Court Hotel. The meetings include talks by guest speaker on subjects of interest to business owners / managers. This is followed by an informal networking session with finger buffet.

Business Network International 
An international organisation with groups or ‘chapters’ across the UK. Each group arranges weekly meetings for networking, referral and exchange of leads. Currently three chapters in operate in the Bromley area.

Business Referral Exchange (BRX) 
BRX is a national networking organisation with local groups. Each group meets weekly (usually at breakfast events) to network and exchange leads. There is currently one BRX group in operation in the Bromley area.

1230 The Women’s Company
1230 is the leading business women’s network providing trading and support opportunities across the UK with local groups. Cut to the Chase – Speed Networking 
A monthly speed networking event open to all businesses in the borough. Events are currently held in central Bromley where attendees have a series of one-to-one mini-meetings with 30 different businesses to raise their profile and promote themselves. Businesses across all sectors and professions are welcome. Each event costs £20 to attend and there are no joining or membership fees.

Ethos Business Network: Crystal Palace
The Ethos Business Network provides dynamic local business owners with opportunities to make connections and boost their profits.
