Networking is a powerful way for businesses both large and small to promote products and services, make new connections with customers and business partners, discuss new ideas with peers and to gain informal support. There is a wealth of networking opportunities available for businesses based in the London Borough of Bromley. Some are provided by regular events organised by local networking groups, whilst others are occasional events – often focussing on particular subjects or sectors.

 

Boost Your Business event

Boost Your Business Local - Orpington, 28th September. Bromley Council presents a Boost Your Business local event for Orpington Businesses.

Fire & Ice Party - 7th September. Churchill Theatre Bromley Business Club will be hosting a networking opportunity for businesses in the Bromley area. The Fire & Ice Party will allow local entrepreneurs to break the ice with future partners, and enjoy the stunning CIRQUE DE GLACE show. Secrets to managing stress - 9th September. The next Bromley Business Club meeting presents Denise Johnson, Hospital Liaison for PRIORY Hospital Hayes Grove, talking about the 'Secrets to Managing Stress'.

South London Business Breakfast - 15th September. A series of events has been organised by South London Business and NatWest Bank to support and safeguard the growth of companies in South London.

'Your Best Life Now' - 21st September. Steps Together (GB), in conjunction with Business Link in London, present a work-life balance conference to help you find out how to balance your business and family life effectively.

An evening with Vince Cable - 13th October. South London Business are hosting an evening in Lambeth with Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP, currently serving as the Secretary of State for Business.

Local networking groups


South East London Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber encompasses businesses based in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham and organises regular breakfast, lunchtime and evening networking events in all these boroughs. Also publishes monthly “Masthead” magazine containing business news for the South East London area.

Bromley Business Club 
The Club arranges monthly networking evenings at Bromley Court Hotel. The meetings include talks by guest speaker on subjects of interest to business owners / managers. This is followed by an informal networking session with finger buffet.

Business Network International 
An international organisation with groups or ‘chapters’ across the UK. Each group arranges weekly meetings for networking, referral and exchange of leads. Currently three chapters in operate in the Bromley area.

Business Referral Exchange (BRX) 
BRX is a national networking organisation with local groups. Each group meets weekly (usually at breakfast events) to network and exchange leads. There is currently one BRX group in operation in the Bromley area.

1230 The Women’s Company
1230 is the leading business women’s network providing trading and support opportunities across the UK with local groups. Ethos Business Network: Crystal Palace
The Ethos Business Network provides dynamic local business owners with opportunities to make connections and boost their profits. The Women in Business Network (WIBN)
WIBN have groups operating across the South East of England (including Beckenham) and are expanding across the rest of the UK. They organise monthly, structured lunchtime meetings for local business women, both running their own businesses and in employment with the purpose of helping each other with business through word of mouth marketing.

4Networking
4Networking is a UK national business networking organisation with 215 local breakfast networking groups and more than 32,000 members. The Orpington 4N group meets on alternate Tuesdays. Meetings consist of informal networking and a “4Sight” session where each attendee is able to take part in 3 one-to-one 10 minute sessions with business people of their choice. There are no membership restrictions, however, membership tends to be primarily professional and largely business-to-business, but all business and professional people are welcome.
