Any premises, regardless of the type of property, requires a licence if it is used for the boarding of animals, for example a catteryand kennels. We can provide advice about the application process and relevant contact details.
Details
Licences are granted for one year and are subject to conditions which can include:
- keeping animals in separate units unless they are from the same household;
- keeping a register of animals boarded;
- identifying animals boarded;
- supervision of animals;
- temperature maintained;
- cleanliness;
- food and water supplied;
- kitchen facilities;
- disease control and vaccination;
- Council and veterinary access.
