If you wish to trade on a Sunday you must be registered legally, as the opening hours are restricted.  Please email or write to us enclosing the relevant details.

Details

Restrictions on opening times on Sundays are confined to large shops (sales area over 280 sq.m). Large shops must:

• be registered with us for trading on a Sunday;
• state the times of trading, which must be between 10am and 6pm for only 6 hours; and
• provide signage internally and externally stating the trading times.

Easter Sunday and Christmas Day (when it falls on a Sunday) must remain closed.

Small shops are not covered by these restrictions and can open freely.

It is left to the individual owners to determine their opening hours as long they are within the restricted times.
