Q1. Does Bromley Council own a particular piece of land or property?
Please ring the Valuation and Estates team on 0208 313 4481 or post a plan or sketch indicating the land in question to:

Please note that a plan is vital in order to accurately identify the land in question. We may not be able to provide conclusive answers by telephone, as research is very often necessary.

Q3. How can I go about leasing or renting a Council property?
If the property is not listed on the Council properties for sale or to let page on our website then please ring the Valuation and Estates team to confirm that the property is owned by the Council, on 0208 313 4481, or post a plan or sketch of the area in question with your request to:

Q4. My property has a restrictive covenant stating that I must get permission from the Council before carrying out any development or extension. How do I request permission?

Q5. Who owns the land or property at…?
If you suspect the land or property belongs to the Council, please refer to question 1: "Does Bromley Council own a particular piece of land or property?".
If you suspect the Council is not the owner, contact the Land Registry.
Q6. How do I find out where the boundaries to my property lie?
These will be in the title deeds to your house, usually kept by your bank or building society or possibly your solicitor.
