Bromley Register Office enjoys a prime location at the heart of Bromley town centre. Situated on the Civic Centre site, next to the former Bishop’s Palace, it provides a peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The immaculate grounds include a large lawn area with mature trees, shrubs and rose bushes to the rear of the Palace, plus a lake with swans and other wildlife. The grounds provide an idyllic location for wedding photographs, particularly during the summer months and are open to the public for viewing during office hours.
To book a marriage ceremony at the Civic Centre either telephone to make an appointment with the Superintendent Registrar or send us your details by completing our ‘Provisional Marriage Booking Request Form’. Alternatively you can send a letter providing it has all the information detailed on the form.
You will need to enclose a non-refundable deposit of £30 to secure the booking.
Once the ceremony has been provisionally booked, you will be advised when the legal preliminaries to getting married should be completed. This is called giving ‘Notice of Marriage’. Notice has to be given to the Register Office for the district in which you live.
If you and or your partner do not live in the London Borough of Bromley you will need to collect the certificate issued by your local register office after notice is given. This allows your marriage to proceed and must be delivered to us prior to your marriage ceremony.
