The Joint Area Review of Children’s Services which was conducted during November and December 2006 was published on 16 October 2007.
The Annual Performance Assessment which was conducted during September 2007 was published on 26 November 2007.

Background to the Inspections
The Joint Area Review (JAR) assesses all local services for children and young people, whether delivered by statutory, voluntary or private providers in receipt of public funds.
The Annual Performance Assessment (APA) assesses the performance of the Children and Young People Services department within the Council, taking account of the contribution of the Council’s partners within the Bromley Children and Young People Trust.
Judgements are made against the Every Child Matters outcomes (Being Healthy; Staying Safe; Enjoying and Achieving; Making a Positive Contribution; and Achieving Economic Well-being) and on the management of services.
