main content Access to Information

The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Enviromental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) work together to improve both the ways we inform the public and the way we manage the information we hold.

These pages will tell you more, including how to apply for information from us.

The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to see data we hold on you (with a few exceptions) and correct it if necessary.

Freedom of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) gives you right of access to information produced in the course of our work, unless certain exemptions apply.
