There are many ways you can take part in local decision-making, from voting in elections to asking public questions. The pages below outline how decisions are made, and how you can get involved.
Bromley operates a 'leader with cabinet' decision-making system.
Decisions of the London Borough of Bromley are made by local councillors, or officers under their guidance.
Members of the public are invited to attend any of the committee meetings set out in the Schedule of Council Meetings.
This facility will allow you to find documents which have been presented to the Council's decision making bodies, as well as the decisions that were made.
Question time gives you the opportunity to come and put questions to the full Council, portfolio holders, policy development and scrutiny committees or other committees about their activities and decisions.
The Forward Plan is a list of all key decisions to be made over the next one to four months, either by the Executive or by officers under delegated powers.
Our constitution sets out how the council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures that are followed to ensure that these decisions are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people.
