London Borough of Bromley Governance Policy Statement
Under The Local Government Pension Scheme (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/3199), the Council is required to publish a statement setting out certain details of the governance arrangements for its pension fund. This information can be found in its Governance Policy Statement which has been published after consultation with other employers in Bromley's fund and after consideration of guidance issued by the CIPFA Pensions Panel.
Statement of Investment Principles
This statement, which has been published in accordance with the requirements of regulation 9A of The Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) Regulations 1998 (as amended), sets out the broad principles adopted by the London Borough of Bromley for the management of investments held in its pension fund.
Communications Policy Statement
This statement is published in accordance with The Local Government Pension Scheme (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/3199). The statement sets out the Council’s strategy for communicating with members, members’ representatives, prospective members and employing authorities.
Funding Strategy Statement
This statement has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 2004 (SI 2004/573), having regard to the statutory guidance prepared by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in March and November 2004. Before finalising the statement, the Council consulted the fund’s actuaries, Punter Southall and Co Ltd, and the other employers in the fund.
