One of the ways we try to listen to local people's views is by holding public meetings; sometimes these are about issues that are specific to a particular local area, and sometimes they are about issues that potentially affect the whole borough. They provide the opportunity for anyone to come along and hear Council officers or councillors talk about possible ways forward; and then to question them or to offer their own views or ideas.
The outcomes of public meetings are reported to Portfolio Holders or committees, alongside any other consultation that we undertake, to help inform their decisions.
