For 2007/08, alongside actions towards our medium-term work streams, key events for the year will be:
- Introduction of our new Chief Executive in July
- Taking forward “performance centre management” - strengthening our Improvement & Efficiency (I&E) planning arrangements and identifying proposals to achieve measurable improvements
- Taking forward improvements identified in the corporate assessment and joint area review inspections
- Delivering a new Local Area Agreement (LAA) and improving partnership working
- Phased implementation of major national developments affecting local government
- Implementation of single status
