main content Information for Bromley Families website

With help from local voluntary and community agencies Bromley has developed and launched its new Children and Families Online Service Directory (www.bromleyfamilies.info).

The new website was developed to make access to local services and activities easier for Bromley families by displaying information about hundreds of local private, voluntary and statutory community organisations.

The Bromley Families website is available to everyone online, but was designed specifically for publicising services and activities for Bromley's children and young people, parents and carers.

Details

The website was developed by our Children and Young People's Department with help from local community and voluntary organisations to provide children and families with a better way to discover and access existing local services and activities.

Here is how it works:  If a parent or carer, young person or child wants to find out what's available to them in the Borough, they can simply access the website and find out what's on.

They can browse details of hundreds of local organisations which provide services and things to do within the Borough.  These organisations provide everything from educational information and support services for children and families, to advice on health and welfare, minority related issues and social activities like the arts, sports and things to do for fun!

It is quite simple really!

If users have an idea of the service or provision they're looking for they can browse the site by one of the following categories:

You can also search the site alphabetically through the A-Z listing of all entries, or use the search box to try and dig out something specific.

The Bromley Families website is speech-enabled using a program called Browsealoud, which means for users with accessibility issues like literacy or reading difficulties, visual impairments and dyslexia, or if English is not their first language, they can have the contents of the website read aloud.

So have a look at Bromley's new Children and Families Online Service Directory - www.bromleyfamilies.info - and find out what it is you're looking for.
