OfSTED (The Office for Standards in Education) is responsible for the regulation and registration of early education and childcare, including childminders, for children under 8 years of age (where the period of care is for more than two hours in any day).

The Bromley Families Information Service produce a leaflet explaining OfSTED and the 14 National Standards registered childcare provision have to adhere to.
