Bromley Early Years Workforce Development Programme
Through our workforce development programme we aim to ensure that all workers in the Early Years and Childcare sector have access to a wide range of training and qualifications opportunities. Through the programme our goal is to provide opportunities that support continuing professional development for experienced workers as well as providing essential training for new workers.
Each year we deliver an extensive training programme that supports local and national priorities e.g. delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting the inclusion of children with additional needs.
In addition we support those who wish to complete qualifications by:
- providing information about the range of qualifications available
- signposting interested candidates to appropriate training providers
- providing course fee grants.
Eligibility
Registered childminders and practitioners who work in registered early years and childcare settings. These include pre-schools, day and term time only nurseries and out of school clubs.
Details
A full training programme is published at the beginning of each school year. A copy is sent to every registered group setting and every registered childminder. The programme is needs related and linked to local authority and strategic goals and objectives. As a result the programme changes annually.
