Education of looked after children
Children in public care are our children. We hold their future in our hands and education is the key to that future.
Details
The education team for looked-after children supports schools, foster carers and young people. They monitor and review the quality of provision in schools to ensure that individual looked-after children have equal access to educational opportunities.
The team comprises:
- a full time Teacher/Co-ordinator;
- a part-time Educational Psychologist;
- a full time Education Welfare Officer;
- a full time Administrative Officer.
