Bromley Adult Education College
Bromley Adult Education College aims to be the leading provider of adult education opportunities in the London Borough of Bromley by extending lifelong learning opportunities to all. Our mission statement is:
"Developing individuals and communities by providing accessible, high quality learning opportunities and skills training"
Eligibility
- Anyone over the age of 16 can apply to join a course.
- If you are 16 – 18 you may join a qualification course free, but you must then take the examination with Bromley Adult Education College.
- A reduced fee is payable by those aged 16-18 at 31 August of the year of the programme.
- Concessions are available to adults receiving certain benefits or if you are an unwaged dependant of the recipient.
- Reductions and concessions apply to Bromley Borough and non-borough residents.
Details
The College offers:
- a comprehensive course programme, published three times a year;
- accurate and impartial advice about courses to suit your needs;
- information in the programme about access for students with disabilities;
- a programme for adults with learning disabilities;
- childcare facilities at the three main Centres (currently under review);
- enrolment by post, online, over the telephone, by fax or in person at one of their main offices;
- a quality assurance policy so that high standards of service are maintained;
- friendly staff and qualified tutors.
The College's Information and Advice Service has received Matrix accreditation. This is a national quality standard for all organisations delivering information and advice services on learning.

Printed course programmes are delivered to homes in the London Borough of Bromley, but are also available from Bromley Adult Education Centres, Libraries and the Civic Centre. Once you have chosen your course you can enrol by post, online, over the telephone, by fax or in person at the Widmore, Kentwood and Poverest Centres.
