Primary School Admission Appeals
Parents/carers have the right to appeal if they are unhappy with an admission authority's decision not to offer their child a place in a school. Before submitting an appeal, they are encouraged to discuss their case informally with the Admissions Team who can provide advice regarding the appeals process.
Eligibility
Under the School Standards & Framework Act 1998 (as amended by the Education Act 2002) parents have the right to appeal against an admission authority's decision refusing their child admission to a school.
Details
- Key Stage 1 Appeals are for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 groups.
- Key Stage 2 Appeals are for children in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 groups.
