Proof of Residency and Parental Responsibility - Secondary School Admissions
It is the responsibility and right of each admission authority to consider factors such as how long an applicant has been living in the borough, how long they intend to stay there, whether they have been continuously resident and proof of permanent residence. This means that we can request whatever proof we feel is necessary to ensure the address provided is the pupil's intended permanent home address. This policy is supported by Bromley secondary schools. The Department for Children, Schools and Families issues no guidance as to what constitutes ordinary residence for the purpose of admission to school.
Bromley residents can apply either on their personalised Common Application Form or sign off the form, return as indicated and make an online application.
