The Director now sought authority from the Executive for permission to undertake formal consultation on the proposal for closure of All Saints Catholic School. Consultation would be on total closure of the school by August 2007.

RESOLVED that:-

(1) the current position of All Saints Catholic School and information on its future viability be noted.

(2) officers be authorised to undertake a consultation on proposals for closure and on alternative educational pathways for children if necessary, as set out in the report, in partnership with the Governors, the Arch-Diocese of Southwark and Bromley Council.

(3) the Director of Education and Libraries ensure appropriate support is provided for parents and pupils at All Saints Catholic School.
