The Phoenix Children's Resource Centre offers a range of developmental, educational, medical and outreach services for children from birth to 5 years who have, or are likely to have, additional needs, medical needs or disabilities.  Come along to the Bromley Parent Voice Conference for parents and carers on Saturday 27 March 2010.

Facilities include specialist teaching, speech and language therapy, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sensory room, soft play, resources, and a toy and book library.

All children with additional needs or disabilities, birth to rising 5, can access both the local and national Early Support materials and receive support as appropriate from Pre-School Specialist Early Support Services.  The Early Support Full Programme is offered to families of children with complex needs, providing early Joint Assessment, a Key worker and Multi-Agency meetings (please see appropriate links).

The Early Support Pre-School Panel provides a single referral route, delivering joined up information, services and support, at the earliest most appropriate time in a family friendly, sensitive way.  It aims to ensure that appropriate services are in place for pre-school children with more significant special educational needs and disabilities.

Bromley Early Support Pre-School Specialist Services have won many awards, both at a local and national level.  They won the Transforming the Children's Workforce category in the SureStart Partners in Excellence National 2005 Awards for their innovative work.  In March 2006 they reached the National finals of the Local Government Chronicle Awards for "Children's Services" where their work was "Commended" and in June 2006 were proud recipients of a "Bromley Oscar" in the "Partnership Category", celebrating the Team's success in developing joint working practices with multi-agency professionals and parents of young disabled children.

In September 2006, the team received the coveted National Customer Service "Team of the Year" award in the Focus on Disability category, and a Bromley Oscar in 2007 in the "Lasting Legacy" category.  In November 2007 the team also won the National Children and Young People Services "Integrated Working" award.  The programme is an exemplary model of integrated service, reflected through the many accolades received.  In June 2008, Pre-School Specialist Early Support Services, working closely together with our multi-agency partners out of the Phoenix Centre, were honoured as Borough winners of the Bromley ‘Star’ Award for ‘Lasting Legacy’ and as finalists in the category ‘Customer Service’.
