Bromley has a team of Advisers who offer specialist support to schools on areas related to school improvement and raising standards.
Details
Bromley’s School Advisers work with Schools in the London Borough of Bromley to raise standards. Schools external to the Borough also have the opportunity to purchase a comprehensive selection of specialist consultancy, delivered by our Advisers, to meet their needs.
Senior Education Advisers
- are the contact for a group of schools in one of the Borough’s three areas;
- monitor the standards of achievement and quality of education the school provides during visits to schools;
- represent the Director of Children and Young People Services at Head Teacher appointments;
- support a Head Teacher in their first year of appointment and support Acting Head Teachers;
- carry out consultancy, information gathering and provide professional advice for the Local Authority.
When Senior Advisers have made judgments about the standards and quality in the school, they allocate time on the basis of need.
School Advisers and Consultants
- support and advise schools on areas of the National Curriculum;
- support and advise schools on national strategies, e.g. literacy and numeracy.
