Work experience for school pupils
Work experience is a placement on an employer's premises during which a pupil carries out a range of tasks or duties, more or less as would an employee, but with the emphasis on the learning aspects of the experience.
Eligibility
- Employers who have employers' liability insurance, public liability insurance and appropriate health and safety arrangements can provide work experience.
- Pupils in their last two years of compulsory schooling can be offered a placement organised by their school as part of an LEA approved scheme.
