Bromley Youth Trust is a voluntary organisation which makes available a narrow boat and a minibus for hire by youth groups.

Bromley Youth Trust has a narrow boat which is available for hire by youth groups.

'Rosanne' is a cruiser-style narrow boat, 70 feet long and 7 feet wide. This is the maximum size that will pass through nearly all the locks on the extensive English canal system.

There are thirteen berths, including a Skipper's cabin, central heating, shower, flush toilets, full size cooker and fridge. The boat is fully fitted for a complete trip.

All crockery, cutlery and buoyancy aids are provided. Everyone should bring their own sleeping bag and pillowcase as well as the usual personal items - but not too many as space is limited!

The 2007 hire charges are:

Full week: £650
Monday to Friday: £520
Weekend: £410 (Friday 2pm to Sunday dusk)
Training Weekend: £50 per person
BYT Skipper: £35 per day (if available)

Mini Bus Hire

Bromley Youth Trust has a minibus which is available for hire by youth groups.

The 2007 hire charges are:

Full day: £65
Consecutive days (minimum 3): £60 per day
Part day: £35
Weekend: £120
Weekend with 'Rosanne' (Narrow boat) booking: £100

There is no mileage charge.

Beyond Bromley

Although Bromley groups take precedence if there is a clash, the narrow boat and minibus are now available to groups outside Bromley - an added reason for making your bookings in good time.

Grant News - Free Cruises!!

Thanks to another grant from Capital Radio's Help a London Child we have been able to offer free cruises to three groups of disadvantaged children this year. They went very well.

Minibus

The minibus purchased in September 2001 has proved to be very reliable and enables us to provide a good service. Ring Les for bookings and/or more details. South London Signs have kindly sponsored some signwriting for us and the bus looks very smart as a result. We have retained the special rate of only £100 for a weekend booked in conjunction with a cruise on board 'Rosanne'.

Our committee is still greatly in need of volunteers:

A secretary for minutes to take some of the load off our hard-working secretary. Please ring Len.
Anyone interested in helping to provide facilities for young people in Bromley. We would particularly welcome women, and people from ethnic minorities, who, despite our best efforts remain under-represented.
