Grant aid for youth organisations and young people
Grant Aid is awarded to youth organisations and individuals to enable them to promote the social, political, moral and spiritual development of young people. Many recipients of Grant Aid run clubs that offer young people a chance to learn new skills and experience a variety of challenging activities.
Eligibility
The following organisations and individuals can apply for Grant Aid:
- Voluntary organisations promoting the development of young people, e.g. Scouts, Guides, Cadets.
- Organisations whose activities enhance the curriculum delivered through schools, colleges and the Adult Education Service in the Borough.
- Adults, youth workers and young people resident in the Borough for training and attendance at certain events (e.g. Jamborees) in connection with their involvement with youth organisations in Bromley.
- Young athletes resident in the Borough of Bromley.
Details
Grants are available for:
- use of Council premises
- voluntary groups
- individuals attending training and other events
- enhancing educational provision
- young athletes.
A panel meets three times a year to review and consider Grant Aid applications. The panel takes into account the need and the extent to which organisations’ activities are consistent with the relevant eligibility criteria for Grant Aid.
