Contact us if you see a stray dog. We will pick up any stray dogs found in the borough and return them to their owner, if known. If the owner cannot be found we can take them to Battersea Dogs Home.
Details
We are required under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to pick up stray dogs reported to us. We will respond by attending the premises where the dog is being held and attempting to locate the owner by checking for dog tags, microchips etc.
If we are unable to locate the owner, we will transport the dog to Battersea Dogs Home. Any dog taken to the kennels will be held for seven days so that the owner can reclaim it.
Cost
Any fees including statutory fees incurred will need to be paid before the dog can be reclaimed.
