There are over 2000 food premises in Bromley, including restaurants, take-aways, pubs, clubs, supermarkets, grocers, butchers, newsagents, mobile and home caterers.
Our aim is to ensure food premises operate within the law and sell food which is safe to eat. We do this by:

- investigating complaints about food and food premises;
- registering food premises;
- carrying out routine sampling and testing of food;
- responding to food alerts (food hazard warnings);
- providing advice on food hygiene training;
- giving advice on food hygiene and safety to businesses and consumers;
- promoting food hygiene through campaigns
