Draft Air Quality Action Plan - Consultation
Following the declaration of an Air Quality Management Area in the North and North West of the Borough in 2007, due to nitrogen dioxide pollution in exceedence of the Government’s objective limits, we are pleased to unveil our draft Air Quality Action Plan.
The draft Action Plan sets out a package of measures, using both existing powers available to the Council and working with other organisations, aimed at addressing the nitrogen dioxide exceedences.
We recognise that action planning is an important element of local air quality management and that your observations and comments in relation to the development of the Action Plan and its implementation are important.
To comment on the draft action plan you can:

The consultation deadline is October 30th 2009 and all comments received by this date will be considered.
A final report will be submitted to Councillors as soon as possible and it will be made available on our website.
