The majority of drinking water in the Borough is supplied by Thames Water. The quality of the drinking water is strictly controlled and we have a duty to ensure that it meets those standards when it reaches the consumer.
Thames Water carries out a great deal of water quality testing. In addition, we take a small number of samples each year as spot checks. We also co-ordinate a London wide sampling programme which includes almost all of the London Boroughs as well as a few of the neighbouring districts and produce an annual report.
