Suggested Improvements
- Contact property owners likely to be affected (overlooked) by a new building or extension, not just adjoining property. (E)
- As you wrote to me about the application, I assumed you would write to me about the decision. (Comment from adjoining owner)
- Officers need to be pro-active in giving applicants/agents information about the progress of their applications. (Robinson Escott) (W)
- Reduce no. of copies of documentation to best practice for London Boroughs i.e. 2 copies of drawings and one copy @ A3 for website retrieval
- Simple householder application forms used by some L.A.s (i.e. Medway/Maidstone)
- Local authority, instead of the applicant, to place on-site notices (from an agent based in Sheerness). Could this be an optional chargeable service?
- Using debit/visa card to purchase Ordinance Survey maps (C)
- Put our DRG/Ref No. on all your letters (W)
- Of the four sets of plans submitted with the application, one set should be stamped with the decision and returned with the decision notice. (ME20 – C)
