STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
ADOPTION STATEMENT
Bromley Council has prepared a Statement of Community Involvement as part of the Borough Local Development Framework. The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how the community will be involved in the preparation of planning policy documents and in the consideration of planning applications.
The Council adopted the Statement of Community Involvement on 11 September 2006.
Copies of the Statement of Community Involvement are available for inspection or purchase at the Civic Centre receptions (Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm – Main reception and 8.30 am to 4.45 pm – Planning reception). The document is also available on our website here and can be inspected at all public libraries, during normal opening hours.
Any person(s) aggrieved by the Statement of Community Involvement may make an application to the High Court under section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act. The grounds for such an application must be either that the document has not been prepared within the powers conferred by the Act or alternatively that a procedural requirement of the Act or associated Regulations has not been complied with. Applications should be made within six weeks from the date of adoption.
Any person aggrieved by the SCI may also apply to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of the decision to adopt the SCI. Any such application must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the date of adoption.
