main content Planning advice and enquiries

We can give information and advice on all aspects of planning and building control, from details on the types of development that require planning permission to advice and guidance on preparing and submitting plans and applications.

For general advice regarding planning permission for householder developments, the Planning Portal website includes a number of useful guides. We also provided information on the 2008 changes to permitted development rights for householders.

The Planning Division also offers a selection of Factsheets regarding planning related topics

Planning Officers can normally be contacted by telephone between 8.45am and 10.00am and 3.00pm and 4.45pm, or by emailing planning@bromley.gov.uk. These hours of availability allow officers time to prepare reports and carry out site visits.

Informal verbal advice can be sought from our duty planner in connection with householder proposals.

Planning reception

Our reception provides information, application and payment facilities relating to planning and engineering services.
