Any comments in the consultation will be considered and could result in the proposed master plan being revised. When the plan is adopted, the Planning Framework will be used to assess future planning applications on the site.
West Camp, off Main Road, Biggin Hill is a conservation area and has several statutory listed buildings. The open grassed landscape is the backdrop to St George's RAF Memorial Chapel, currently the only building on the airfield campus the public can visit. It is proposed to convert the barracks and mess buildings to business uses to provide employment, and to build new modern replacement hangars facing the airfield's western taxiway, where hangars stood previously.
