main content Donating goods

By giving unwanted furniture, clothes, phones and computers to charities and other organisations, you will be helping the environment, saving money and benefiting the community.

You can donate shoes and clothes at our recycling banks. A number of organisations in the area will collect electronics and furniture from your home. You can also recycle your mobile phones and accessories at collection points across the borough.

We also provide a bulky waste collection service, at cost.

Contacts

Below are organisations you can contact to recycle various goods.

Mobile phones and accessories

You can recycle your mobile phone and accessories (hands free kits, chargers, batteries, data cables etc.) at any library across the borough and at the Civic Centre’s main enquiry desk. Alternatively, you can send your equipment to FREEPOST, Bromley Fonebak Recycling. Please remember to remove your Sim card before donating your phone.

The mobile phones and accessories we collect are sent for reuse and recycling. Handsets that can be reused are refurbished. The plastics from accompanying accessories are recycled into objects like traffic cones and buckets. All money raised is donated to the Bromley Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
