Some years we receive an entry that is a ‘bit different’ - but still worthy of recognition. In 2006, we received two such entries and our judges wanted both to be rewarded. These entries involved a huge amount of research into the history of particular parts of the borough and resulted in a much higher profile for the local area. These are local people making public spaces accessible and interesting for visitors.
