This premier touring exhibition, produced in partnership with other museums across the UK is all about championing sports in Bromley.
Find out more about Bromley's sporting stories and local heroes. Did you know that David 'the Hayemaker' Haye, the former boxing heavyweight champion lives in Beckenham? And don't forget about W.G. Grace, one of the most well known cricketers of all time! He spent the end of his life in Mottingham and was buried at Elmers End Cemetery when he died in 1915.

Open Garden Squares Weekend at Winsford Gardens
9 June 2012 - 10 June 2012
For the first time Winsford Gardens will join over 200 secret and private gardens across London participating in Open Garden Squares Weekend, which is organised in association with the National Trust.
In conjunction with Open Garden Squares Weekend, Penge Green Gym will be opening the gates of Winsford Gardens wide and inviting the public in to check out all the hard work they have put in to transform this park into a pretty wildlife haven.
The lawns are a great space for picnics amongst the tranquil surroundings.
The volunteers will be happy to show you around the gardens. Historically the private gardens of Winsford House, the garden holds many original features, including ornamental shrub beds, fruit trees, rose gardens and stunning stretches of lawnbug hotels.
Activities include:
- Children's crafts including making bird feeders.
- A treasure hunt
- Plant sale

Costs
Tickets for Open Garden Squares Weekend 2012 are now on sale from http://opensquares.eventbrite.co.uk/. One ticket allows entry to all gardens over the entire weekend. Ticket prices are £9 in advance and £12 if bought during the event weekend. These prices include any booking and credit card fees and one guidebook mailed out per two tickets.

Crystal Palace Overground Festival

The 6th Crystal Palace Overground Festival returns with live music, performing arts, gourmet food, vintage shopping, DJs and gigs all day.
Don't miss this year's Crystal Palace Overground in Westow Park and around the Triangle. The sixth Crystal Palace Overground Festival will take place on 13 - 16 June 2012, with the main day being 16 June. It will be a great day out for all.
In Westow Park, there will be a live music stage, a gourmet food market, arts and crafts stalls, and a performing arts space and kids' arts workshops.
In the Triangle, our lively local bars and shops will host stalls, gigs and DJs all day and late into the night. Creative locals will be in full swing with an art market in Victory Place and more stalls in Westow Park. You will also find the best antique and vintage shopping in London at the Church Road market, Crystal Palace Antiques and our vintage hideaway Haynes Lane - it's the perfect place to browse for incredible pieces at great prices.
