In 1992, Bromley transferred all its council housing to Broomleigh, the largest housing association in Bromley. The Council however works closely with housing associations and other agencies to increase the quantity and quality of social housing in the borough and to ensure good housing standards in both the social and private sectors.
The way social housing is allocated in Bromley will be changing during the summer of 2008. We will be introducing a new ‘choice-based lettings’ system, which will be supplied by Home Connections, for allocating properties to people in need of housing and will be called ‘Bromley Homeseekers’. For more information on ‘Bromley Homeseekers’ please click on the following link to see how the housing register is changing or follow the link to the Bromley Homeseekers Website.
The Housing Department at the Council can give advice and general help on housing and other inter-related matters. Please use this site to find out about the services provided by the Housing Teams which are based at the Civic Centre:
If you would like to make a complaint about the housing services we deliver then please download the "Getting it Right" form and send it to the Complaints Team.
All complaints about our housing services are recorded and dealt with under Bromley's Corporate Complaints procedure. You can find out more about this process from the "Information for Customers" booklet.
