If you are over 60, Central Government are offering you a £300 heating rebate to install a new heating system or replace a defective boiler.

Eligibility

The rebate is available to all pensioners (over 60 years old) who privately own or privately rent their home. You don't need to be receiving any benefits.

The rebate is only available where there is no heating system present and a new system is fitted or the current heating system doesn't work.

The scheme has limited funding and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can register for the scheme by calling the hotline.

Once you have registered for the scheme, you will receive a letter and claim form, which will name six registered installers. You can request your preferred installer, however; this installer must be registered with CORGI, OFTEC and/or NICEIC and the Warm Front Heating Rebate Scheme.

You then contact one or more of the installers on the list to carry out a survey and provide a quotation. We recommend that you obtain more than one quotation.

You then decide which installer you would like to do the work and contact them directly to arrange an installation date. Once the installation has been completed and you are satisfied, you then give the installer the signed voucher to enable them to claim the relevant payment.
