Review of homelessness strategy 2003 - 2008
The Homelessness Act 2002 placed a duty on authorities to conduct a review of homelessness in their area and to develop a homelessness strategy in response to the findings of that review.
The review of the homelessness strategy for 2003 - 2008 provides an update on homelessness and the associated services within the Borough over the last four years. It also identifies any new trends or emerging issues, which will impact on services moving forwards and sets out the achievements the Council has made to reducing homelessness.
The document will be used as a basis for consultation and will feed into a revised homelessness strategy for 2007-10.
