Childcare sufficiency

Childcare sufficiency report

The Childcare Act (2006) requires Local Authorities in England to ensure there are flexible, sustainable childcare places for working parents, parents studying or training, and for disabled children. This is to enable parents and careers to take up and remain in work, or undertake education or training which assists them to obtain work.

Comments and feedback

Assessing the childcare market is an ongoing process, and the report will be updated every year.

We are constantly striving to improve, so if you have any comments on childcare in the borough please complete the views on childcare survey.
