Friends of Glentrammon Recreation Ground and Foxbury Wood

We are currently working alongside local residents to establish a Friends of Glentrammon Recreation Ground and Foxbury Wood. This partnership will assist in delivering positive improvements to these green spaces.

In response to resident's requests, a series of meetings was held to gather some initial feedback on the improvements people would like to see to their local green spaces - Glentrammon Recreation Ground and Foxbury Wood.

The feedback was incorporated into a plan of potential work for the short, medium and long-term future which was presented in the form of a map to local residents on Wednesday 15 September 2010 at the Greenwood Centre in Green Street Green. Council staff also discussed the possibility of setting up a Friends group to work in partnership with us to deliver improvements to the greenspaces. Comments from the meeting were incorporated into a revised map which was presented at a further meeting on Wednesday 17 November 2010. At this meeting a Caretaking Committee was also established for the Friends group.

On Monday 9 May 2011, a meeting is being held to formalise the Friends of Glentrammon Recreation Ground and Foxbury Wood and associated Caretaking Committee at 7.30pm at the Greenwood Centre, 4 High Street , Green Street Green, BR6 6BQ.  All residents are warmly invited to attend.
