Planning advice and enquiries
We can assist with information on matters including planning permission, listed building consent and building control.
We normally require enquiries to be submitted in writing and we provide specific services including a pre-application advice service and search the planning register service, which attract a fee. Please see the relevant forms and information or contact us for further details.
We are unable to advise informally as to whether planning permission is required for development or changes of use. If you require a formal decision as to whether planning permission is required you can submit a certificate of lawfulness.
A guide for householders explains the changes to permitted development rights. which were introduced in 2008 was published by the government in August 2010. These give more freedom to people wanting to carry out improvements to their houses
