Basal Growth Buddies

Basal Growth Buddies are volunteers who work with us to remove basal growth from trees in our streets. Basal growth is the small shoots - usually no more than ½ inch in circumference - that grow on the base and trunk of trees during the summer months. As basal growth can block footpaths and is unsightly, we remove it.

If you would like to support our work and become a Basal Growth Buddy, helping to remove basal growth from one or more trees in your road or a street in your local area, contact us. Simply tell us the location of the tree(s) that you would like to adopt and your contact details and we will get in touch with guidance on how to remove basal growth.
