Further information

Records of the collection are confidential and all waste is taken to a special incinerator, which destroys the material, and produces energy from the heat.

Any sharp instruments such as scalpels or needles must be placed in special yellow plastic containers - sharps boxes. We provide free yellow sacks and sharps boxes to domestic customers.

Please note that items such as incontinence pads and soiled bandages and dressings can be double-bagged and deposed of in your normal domestic refuse collection.
