Christmas tree recycling sites

We provide a free Christmas tree recycling service for all our residents at temporary sites around the borough.  

Site locations and opening times

Temporary recycling centres for Christmas trees and green garden waste are open on either Saturday 6 January or Sunday 7 January 2018:

Saturday 6 January 2018: 11am to 4pm

  • Bromley, Norman Park (Hook Farm Road entrance off Bromley Common, A21)
  • Green Street Green, Salt Depot (Shire Lane 'spur', off Sevenoaks Road)
  • St Paul's Cray, Cotmandene Crescent car park (off Chipperfield Road)

Sunday 7 January 2018: 8am to 12noon 

  • Beckenham, Unicorn Primary School (Creswell Drive off South Eden Park Road)
  • Biggin Hill, Charles Darwin School (Jail Lane) 

Further details

Christmas trees must not have soil, pots or decorations attached.  You can also bring along other green garden waste with your Christmas tree.

Christmas trees and green garden waste must not be left outside operating times.  Sites will be closely monitored and all fly-tippers will be prosecuted.

Christmas trees can also be recycled at Waldo Road and Churchfields Road reuse and recycling centres (closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day) - please bring your waste disposal permit. 

Residents who are members of our green garden waste wheelie bin collection service can use this service to recycle their real Christmas trees. Trees must be put in the bins for recycling and broken down if necessary.
