Key stage 1 (KS1) courses

Nature trail (self led) (KS1)*

The Nature trail option is only available as part of a 2 group special visit.

2 classes come together - one class is taught a half day course option (for example Discovering Plants) by BEECHE staff in the morning while the other class is taken on the nature trail by the school's teacher (who will be fully responsible for the group during this part of the visit), classes swap over after lunch.

Please note: Once this course is booked the teachers in charge will need to visit BEECHE and walk the nature trail before their school visit, to ensure they are familiar with the route. Please telephone first to arrange a mutually convenient time.

The Nature Trail (provided by the teachers at BEECHE) is a simple, easy to follow map around parts of High Elms Country Park. There will be various places to stop and take note of different features, for sketching, measuring, finding or collecting. Collecting must only be of the suggested materials and not of anything that is living.
