Weather focus (KS2)

An introductory look at weather. 

Description

Pupils will carry out an investigation recording the differences between an exposed and sheltered site. Techniques for measuring wind direction and speed, temperature, cloud cover and rainfall will be experienced. this knowledge will also be applied to woodland life and the seasonal effects.

Areas covered

  • slides to introduce weather, cloud shapes, water cycle
  • investigation to record wind speed and direction, temperature
  • use of appropriate recording instruments

  • seasonal effects of life in an woodland
